Our collection "AFTERGLOW" was inspired by the bittersweet feeling instilled by ruin, celebrating the idea of how time evolves all, yet preserves emotion.
Bhaavya’s visit to the Ta-Prohm temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia embarked the journey of this collection. The beauty of the remains of what once was magnificent moved her. It instilled a magical, chilling feeling, a realisation of the fact that what begins, ends.
Here is the little shrub that later became the KIEM print:
^ by the Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi, Vietnam (March 2015)
^ the beautiful plantation by the lake
"Couldn't help but stare at this beautiful bush by the Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi. In that moment I knew this was a sight that would stay in my memory and today it's become a part of what I love to do. There's nothing more fulfilling than being inspired by moments like these and finding ways to bring permanence to memories that move you."
